Getting exhausted by JULY - a bit overwhelmed

At the beginning of the month, the Spirit of Balaton gave me new dynamism and delightful experience. On the following day, the specific noise of the wheels was still singing in my ears and also the dust of the road on my bike were signs among many that made me to remember the previous day (see earlier post about this adventure in detail).

Two different camps were next for Dominik in two consecutive weeks. The first one was an English speaking camp with horses in Törökbálint. He attanded together with Noémi (Juli's daughter). The second one was a "wandering" camp. The children were collected in the morning, spent the day in different places (cinema, bath, playground, excursion, children's railway) and were back by the end of the day. Dominik insisted on taking part in it because of the selection of the programs.

In the meantime, Dominik turned 9. Just before his big day, we went to the Capital Circus and were both truly amazed by the actual big show which was the Fountain Circus Show - Children of Atlantis. Many cases my question was "How?" or simply "Wow!". Excellent entertainment.

Although, we celebrated Dominik's birthday with the family on its day, I decided to postpone the celebration with classmates by September because of more reasons. The chosen star was MINECRAFT this year:

Then I had a week-off and we made a 3-day tour around Lake Balaton Minor (Kis-Balaton). It is hard to believe that a significant part of the lake was once a bay of Lake Balaton. This area is the home of rare bird species and other wetland animals and plans. The most part of the lake can be visited with guided tours because as a part of the Balaton Uplands National Park, it is acutely protected territory with several things to do, see and visit. The Buffalo Reservation in Kápolnapuszta, the Thermal, Adventure & Lido Bath Complex in Zalakaros, the Zobori KalandoZoo in Zalaszabar, the one and only Blueberry Garden with organic blueberry products and 'pick your own' possibility in Galambok, etc...

We were accomodated in an RV in Nagyrada which was a very good choice because it was quite out-of-the-common therefore was definitely enjoyed by Dominik. The location was also favourable regarding the spots we wanted to visit. We cycled around the lake first. I was a bit worrying because the bicycle path was missing many places and needed to use the highway. Although, there wasn't a heavy traffic and that's why those cars choosing that way could drive with high speed, unfortunately. Biggest respect to my son who stood by me and resisted till the very end.

On the next two days we had adrenalin for lunch (breakfast was provided by our host). Starting in Zalakaros Indoor and Outdoor Adventure Bath was the best decision since we had heavy rain in that morning. The open air bath involves an extreme slide park with extreme slide elements which is the novelty of 2016. With its starting height of nearly 20 meters, attracts the age group over 12. Although, I tried one twice, that was my favourite but could not introduce to Dominik so we have to return. Additionally, the well-known kind figure of the underwater dreamland, Swimming-spider-Wonder-spider welcomes younger children with many kinds of water attraction.

Third day was spent in Zalaszabar. On the top of the hills was built the Zobori KalandoZoo. The panorama from there was simply amazing. We could see not only the whole Lake Balaton Minor but also Lake Balaton in the background all day long. Enjoyed not only the beautiful view but also the large extension of the really user friendly park, the fruit trees and the 'Big Adventure' we choose at the pay-desk. It would have been a mistake not to try it. And we have to return here as well because of the zipline by the time Dominik's height reach 150 centimeters.

Worthy end of the month: little Daniel's christening in Százhalombatta that was followed by a garden party.

Finally, I proudly present that I successfully passed the exam of sign language, level A1.
