Wedding, again

The Proposal
The Civil Ceremony
Church Wedding
Here is the picture comparison I promised (and in a little while some more photos of the special day of Ancsa and Lajos containing the guests, the ceremony at the registry, at the church and the dinner party). The young couple lives in perfect harmony for a month, they've just came back from their honeymoon (from Turkey) which wasn't as sweet as expected because they both had an indigestion.
1- Posing in front of the Mayor's Office
2 - Tableau in front of the Mayor's Office
3 - Tableau in front of the church
4 - Cutting the cake
5 - Light up the candle
6 - Under God
7 - Young wives & husbands
8 - Throwing the bouquet
9 - Coming out of the church

Summer comes to an end. Although the sun goes low, days are much shorter, evenings and mornings are chilly, we have record hot days in these days.

Dominik and me were invited to the local community center in connection with the Day of Breastmilk. We got a gift parcel and a memorial certificate which says that is for "the mother who chose breastfeeding as lifestyle not as duty". There is another acknowledgement which is from my mother who is very proud of me/us. This is due to Dominik as well.

Fésűs Éva: Vidám nyárutó

Augusztusban már a nyár
kissé őszben sántikál.
Ábrándozik, nem nevet,
falevelet festeget.

Körte pottyan, totyakos,
már a sün is pocakos,
Folton-folt a káposzta,
kofa viszi városba.

Dinnye feje szép kerek,
olyan okos, szétreped!
Nyuszi füle nagyra nőtt,
ha leül is, látni őt.

Szóló szőlő kilenc tő,
őrzi madárijesztő.
Széna, szalma, félkalap,
aki látja, elszalad!

Just Married

I know that many of you are very curious to see some pictures of the young couple. You must be satisfied with the ones I took as a maid of honour – temporarily.
Man would think that day of his wedding promises to be very long but in fact it’s too short even in case of overnight merrymaking. Why aren’t we able to be in many places at the same time? So many people to speak with, so many once-in-a-lifetime moments to snap, so many opportunities not to be missed. The wedding car was our black Peugeot 407 Coupe with pink flower decoration on hood which was the dominant colour of the wedding. Pictures were taken in the garden of the castle of Martonvásár, in a nearby town. The words of the registrar at the Mayor’s Office and the priest at the church reminded me of our big day and the oath we made. Everything went with a swing. Funny actions entertained the guests during the dinner-party. The most touching part of the night met the greatest success: the film that was shown ancient photos first from the childhood of Ancsa and Lajos then photos after getting know each other and finally photos of that day.
I’m going to publish some pictures by the photographer next time and going to make a picture comparison between the weddings of the Filler-girls.

"Mr One-Year-Old Sweetie"

(quoted from Nancy Lassu)

We’ve timed our holiday in such a way that we’re back by Dominik’s birthday. I’m meditating if this first year was a short or a long one. Sometimes I feel that Dominik was always the part of our life, sometimes I hardly believe that we’re parents, irrevocably. Let’s see what happened and did not happened by the age of one year:
- toddling with support, no independent steps yet; safer and faster on all fours
- no nipple and the only thing drinking from a bottle is water
- still nursing
- not a single separated night
- having eight teeth
- supposedly the age of defiance and sulking opened

Our customes for the wedding will be perfect regarding the general effect which is important for me. My first happiness was that I managed to get a pretty footwear being exactly to my taste which is totally the same colour like my dress-to-be (still being sewed). Krisz has specially made shoes and belt which had for the occasion made on the basis of the cloth of my dress. His shirt and tie go very well with my dress. Dominik’s waistcoat is made of the textile of my dress and he’ll wear white trousers like his father. Can’t wait to put the gala dress on. Can’t wait to celebrate and to meet long-seen relatives.

Go Turkey!

We returned from our first common vacation which is said to be as a milestone in the process of becoming a real family. We’re entitled to say that it was indeed and was a milestone in many other respects. A holiday with a little one is the greatest fun.
It was time for playing self-forgetting, for father & son to get even closer to each other. I wasn’t afraid of travelling with Dominik, he is an angelic good little boy with an angelic patience, we are able to go with him anywhere. He exceeded all expectations and adapted himself to the occasion, what’s more he tought some adults manners. In spite of the great heat (appr. 45 degrees centigrade) he behaved very well, ate very well (I took him everything from home + the breast with me), slept very well (is better baby required?), was interested in other children very much and enjoyed splashing in the sea, under the shower and in the pool as well.
Our hotel was situated in the town of Incekum (means fine sand) near Alanya and was full of banana plantations. We were about to get tanned before my sister’s wedding, but we had to sunbathe with the greatest possible care as regard Dominik’s sensitive baby-skin. We avoided being outdoor in the noonday hours (from 11 AM to 4 PM), used hat and suntan lotion with high SPF number and make him drink a lot of water. There were lovely summer houses on the beach as a shelter from the hot sun.
Turkish people are really friendly and hospitable and adore children. Turkish cooking, Turkish bath, Turkish delight, Turkish fancyshops, (flying carpet, "Aladdin-pump"…) are famous worldwide. Hungarian and Turkish language show some similarity, some same words (anyway, I rather used English) of which reason is in history. See the 150 years of Ottoman Rule, the occupation of Hungary in the 16th and 17th centuries. One of our Turkish guide noted funnyly that the soup was delicious in Eger (Hungarian women threw boiling water up over the Turkish men climbing the wall of the fortress of Eger). The joy of getting back is full as fantastic as the holiday itself. Home, sweet home!

The Thirtiest

(Krisz - Dominik)
Krisz kept his birthday on last Sunday. We managed to surprise him with the things he desired most: a holiday at the seaside and a grill/BBQ. Happiness was written all over his face. This was the first time that I prepared his favourite cake called "Eszterházi torta" on my own. It is a kind of fancy cake of confectioners because it is a fiddly, time-consuming work. As I noticed, he examined his life till now and finally said that he has everything. I was happy to hear this but I worry about him because he works a lot, 10-12 hours on every day for years. He always has dreams to realize and once he takes something into his head, he carries it out going through fire and water for it. Sometimes he needs encouragement but he has a heart of gold and never let the grass grow round our feet :-) ...

Reggeli Harmat

Reggeli harmat kelti a lepkét,

Virág a réten tárja a kelyhét.

Látja a lepke, billen a szárnya,

Virágkehelyben reggeli várja.

50 Days till Sister's Wedding

Wedding ceremony is in the air. The second young bird flies away, too. We can help a lot the married-to-be couple from experience making the preparations substantially simplier and shorter. The place, the photographer, the cameraman, the invitation cards, the wedding vehicle are given. Meanwhile, the couple is busy with ”nest-building”, setting up their new home. As regard our little family’s appearance on the noted day, my conception is light blue combined with lace. I bought the textiles and when I wrapped my body with them at home, my dress-to-be took shape in my mind. The costumes of the two boys will be adjusted to mine.
I have to think about two other projects at the same time. Krisz turns to 30 at the end of this month. The party, the present, the menu… Only a few days left. And I need to think about our first vacation with Dominik as a real family.

Be Missing

Boni vanished into thin air. She disappeared misteriously. She has gone for good and all this time. I was alone at home upstairs when I heard her whining then barking. By the time I came down she was not to be found, I kept her calling in vain. I had bad feelings about her disappearance. I called Krisz immediately, he hurried home and began searching for Boni in the neighbourhood by motorcycle. Unsuccessfully. Has she been stolen??? The noises and the traceness lead us to believe it. But we don’t want to believe it! What kind of person is able to do such a wickedness? By what right? Sorrowful. The garden is so empty without her. Everything reminds us of her: the arrivals, her toys, her favourite chicken, pots, the holes dug in the flowerbed, the half-chewed plants and leaves, her roll of bread under the bush screened carefully from view. She won’t be Dominik’s playmate and won’t sleep with him near by the stroller anymore.
I organized a „baba-mama” get-together at the company. There were many expectant mothers at the same time (two of them couldn't take part). Amazing, insomuch as a building company men compose the great mass, the some women take their maternity leave just with a few months difference.

Two weeks ago
First flower carpet (almost exactly) at the age of 10 months: profusion of many kind of flowers and petals and crowd. Perfect opportunity to meet the residents. It seemed to me that everyone was interested in the procession in spite of the fact that it is the same in every year and yet it does differ and has attractive force. I got my rosary as usual and Dom got his first balloon from his Dad: a motorcyclist dreesed in blue and white exactly like his father.

Wedding Anniversary and Tax Return

2 years bound by a valid and existing marriage. We’ve just started to get into practice!
I had a long official day the whole yesterday. Dominik joined me the second part of the day. Thank God (and mainly Dominik), he showed amazing patience. However, offices are not children’s friend places. I had to manage my car’s affairs and had my tax returns filled out than posted. After the mayor’s office we visited Krisz at his workplace. It was the first time that Dom saw the printing mashines. Anyway, he is able to do things as requested, to act upon orders. E.g. he can clap his hands on hearing the word ”tapsi”, can touch lightly my nose with his nose on hearing the word ”pisze”, can give the toy from his hand on hearing the words ”kérem szépen”. His favourite objects are at this time: remote controls, cell phones, his little spoons, tooth brush, cupboard’s doors (certainly under supervision). His attention can always been arrested with little verses, he finds satisfaction in hearing them. He is fully aware of the meaning of many words and sometimes acts exactly the way I tell him. That surprises me! Maybe there is nothing unusual in it, he’s smarter day after day. I always stand open-mouthed when he makes a new show of himself. He can change his place and position with lightning speed and can stand on his own feet.

Májusi szellő

Almavirággal futkos a szellő,

akár egy kócos semmirekellő.

Kócosnak kócos, de nem mihaszna;

okot nem ád ő soha panaszra.

Füttyöget olykor, mintha ő volna

a kertek kedves sárgarigója.

Meghintáztatja ágon a fészket,

leszáll a földre, fűhegyen lépked.

Illeg és billeg, s ha dolga nincsen,

elüldögél egy kék nefelejcsen.

Mothers and others

I had my first Mother’s Day as a mother with the most beautiful (partly petalles) flower grasping it strongly with whitening little fingers. We also expressed our thanks to our dearest mothers with some grateful words and "Rita-made" fruit cakes. There is a place what we visit every year with Krisz to get the traditional flower of Mother’s Day: syringa. The first Sunday of May can not be Mother’s Day without it.
We had a 4-day holiday including May-Day as well. We were in the country. It was very much to a pig’s diasadvantage. Although the open-air bath was open (the most of them open on 1st May), the weather was rather favourable to use the indoor pool.

Partytime

The printing company, where Krisz works, usually holds a closing ceremony of the season in April. It was a week ago this year and I decided to take Dominik along. Krisz did not accept my idea without reservation. I wasn’t regret that decision at all and also Krisz changed his mind after the event. The music was too loud when we entered, so I stopped in the door with Dominik in my arms whose lips were pursed, ready to cry. After settling down he became the center of the whole company. Familiar and unfamiliar faces examined him closely or from the distance but he stood the test. After a while he became tired and fall asleep in the stroller outdoor under the supervision of grandma Magdi (mother-in-law, works at the same company). The owner was really open-handed. Tastefully prepared and carefully selected menu bar, abundant supply from drinkables, seven-man band provided the unclouded atmosphere. Anyway, I didn’t feel myself uneasy because I worked with these people during college years and it was good to meet them.
Next year it will be on a larger scale especially as the twentieth anniversary of the EPC.

Tick

Little short of it, a dog-tick cost Boni her life. It was an infected one. The one from thousand tick, which may be fatal in many instances in a puppy’s case under one year old. After it had been noticed and removed, she became more and more depressed, ate nothing and was just lying sadly. The veterinarian attended her and said that she wouldn’t have lived through the night if we didn’t act in time. Everybody worried about her little life as one man which wasn’t so lucky till now (her mother died at her birth and she was poddied). She’s still in a bad shape but much more better now. There’s no trace of the vivid Boni being underfoot so far, but she is alive and that's the point.
I've restocked Dominik’s wardrobe, he is already a little guy. Spring-cleaning is in progress.

Április hónapja

Bolondos egy hónap április hónapja,

hol kalap a fején, hol báránybőr sapka.

Köpenyegbe bújtat, ingujjra vetkőztet;

mutatja a tavaszt hol nyárnak, hol ősznek.

Hiába próbálnád kilesni a kedvét,

túljár az eszeden, mire észrevennéd.

Búsnak teszi magát, szeme könnyben ázik,

mindegyre lehunyja sűrű szempilláit.

Aztán gondol egyet, fülig fut a szája,

s ránevet a fényben hunyorgó világra.
